Terms of Service

The basis for using this website and arranging flooring supply, assessments and installation with February Flooring.

Read with your accepted quotation and the applicable South African consumer protections. Statutory rights take precedence over conflicting terms.

1. Our agreement with you

February Flooring is the trading name used on this website. These terms work together with the accepted quotation, confirmed specification and any agreed project variation. An enquiry, product selection, downloaded estimate or site-visit request does not itself create a confirmed order or booking. A My Quote submission is sent for team review. The team confirms the scope and applicable price before approving a quotation; an invoice is issued only after customer acceptance is recorded. Requesting an invoice does not collect payment or replace confirmation of the agreed terms.

The quotation sets out the contracting supplier, scope, products, quantities, price, tax treatment, payment arrangements and fulfilment commitments. You must have an opportunity to check and correct these details before agreeing. Keep a copy of the terms and quotation supplied to you.

2. Your legal rights come first

South African law applies. Where the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), or another mandatory law applies, those rights remain available. No quotation, sign-off, manufacturer condition or website term removes a right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Trade or business purchases are not automatically outside consumer law. The applicable legal tests determine which protections apply. A conflicting project-specific term cannot override a mandatory protection.

3. Supply only and quantities

For supply-only orders, tell us the product, finish, quantity and intended use. Quantities you provide are not professionally measured by us unless measurement is expressly included. Ask for advice before ordering if you are unsure.

Measured floor area, cutting allowance and material order quantity are different figures. Pack rounding and allowances depend on the confirmed product and layout. We do not apply a universal wastage percentage. Surplus packs are handled under the Returns & Refunds Policy; a return is not automatically promised.

4. Pricing, availability and payment

Catalogue browsing does not reserve stock. Displayed material prices and calculator totals are indicative supply estimates. They vary by location and are rounded to whole packs using the stated pack coverage. Customer-entered area and any chosen extra material are unverified. Installation, preparation, adhesive, underlay, trims, delivery and site visits are excluded unless expressly included in the quotation. The applicable selling price, sale unit, availability and fulfilment costs are confirmed before acceptance. February Flooring is not VAT registered and does not add VAT to its selling prices. No payment method or credit facility is promised by this website.

A required deposit, balance milestone and any quotation expiry must be stated before you accept. We do not impose a blanket non-refundable deposit. Cancellation and statutory refund rights remain subject to the Returns & Refunds Policy.

If an error or availability issue is identified, we will discuss the correction or lawful next step before proceeding. An accepted agreement will not be unilaterally repriced, substituted or cancelled contrary to law.

5. Installation and changes

An installation quotation follows site assessment. Customer-entered measurements are enquiry information, not a final installation quantity, invoice or payable order.

The scope must identify preparation, accessories, labour, removal and disposal, furniture movement, access, delivery and exclusions as applicable. Additional work and its effect on price or timing require an agreed written variation before work proceeds. If a condition makes work unsafe or technically unsuitable, the affected work can pause while the parties agree a safe, lawful next step.

6. Trade Desk and comparison enquiries

A Trade Desk enquiry creates no trade account, credit terms, discount entitlement or stock reservation. Agreed trade supply arrangements must be recorded separately.

Quote comparison is a human-led discussion of equivalent specification and scope. It is not a price-beating promise, an assessment of another supplier’s honesty or an automatic final quotation. Review scope and any fee are agreed before proceeding. Only share quotation information you are authorised to share, with unnecessary personal information removed.

7. Responsibility, records and fair resolution

Each party remains responsible for its own obligations and for loss for which it is legally liable. These terms do not exclude liability for fraud, gross negligence, defective or unsafe products, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. We do not impose an automatic liability cap equal to the order value.

Please provide accurate project information and follow the product-specific instructions supplied with your order. A problem is assessed on its facts and cause; installation or use does not automatically waive a hidden-defect claim.

A future policy update does not retrospectively alter an existing accepted agreement. Disputes may be raised with our team and, where appropriate, an ombud, regulator or competent court. No compulsory private arbitration or waiver of statutory redress is imposed.
