Read with your accepted quotation and the applicable South African consumer protections. Statutory rights take precedence over conflicting terms.
1. Enquiries and necessary information
February Flooring is the trading name through which enquiries are handled. If you contact our team directly, the information you provide is used to discuss the project, prepare requested advice or quotations, arrange agreed services and handle support or complaints. Relevant records may also be needed for legal obligations and dispute handling.
The contact forms let you review a browser-only enquiry summary before sending. When you choose Send enquiry, your details are submitted in the background, without leaving the page, to FormSubmit for forwarding to februaryflooring@gmail.com. FormSubmit processes the submitted information and its documentation states that submissions are retained for 30 days. Only name, selected contact detail and project location are required for relevant flows; approximate area and product information are optional. You may instead contact our team directly by email or phone.
2. Browser storage, hosting and external images
My Quote saves selected product references, quantities and saved-request access in local storage on your browser. This allows you to return to a draft or retrieve a submitted request from the same browser. Download Estimate sends the selected products, quantities and optional project location to our hosted service to prepare the PDF. When you choose Send request for review, the selection, project location and contact details are stored in the Site’s hosted database for authorised quotation review. Approved quotations and issued invoices can then be retrieved from that saved request. No customer auto-email, marketing subscription or online payment is triggered. Keep saved-request access private on shared devices.
The project tools use session storage in your browser for project context, such as location, rooms and preferences, so relevant details can carry between pages. Product selection, entered area and an indicative supply estimate may also appear in the enquiry URL and be carried into your enquiry notes. You can edit these notes before sending. Form-summary data remains in page memory until you choose to send it or leave the page. Read the Cookies & Browser Storage page for clearing options and limits.
The site is hosted through ChatGPT Sites. Hosting and sign-in providers can process connection or account information under their own notices. Existing room images load from external image hosts, which receive a network request from your browser. This may involve processing outside South Africa. This notice does not claim that the platform or image hosts collect no data.
3. Access, recipients and retention
For information provided directly to our team, only appropriate access for the relevant project or lawful purpose should be given. Any sharing with product suppliers, installers, delivery providers or professional advisers must have a lawful basis and be limited to what is necessary. A comparison enquiry is not permission to contact another supplier or publicly reproduce its quotation.
FormSubmit and Google Gmail process submitted enquiries for email delivery and inbox handling. Processing may take place outside South Africa; applicable POPIA safeguards must be addressed for cross-border processing. The contact forms do not enable an external CRM, customer auto-reply, marketing or file-upload integration. My Quote records are stored separately in the Site’s hosted database and made available only through authorised review or the private access retained in your browser. Hosting and database processing may occur outside South Africa; applicable POPIA safeguards remain necessary. Clearing your browser does not delete submitted quotations, invoices or other business-held records. Contact our team to exercise applicable privacy rights. A provider acknowledgement does not prove inbox delivery; use direct email if delivery is uncertain. Browser clearing does not remove information you separately sent to our team or a platform provider. Any business-held information must be retained only for its lawful purpose and applicable legal requirements, then securely deleted or de-identified as appropriate. No unverified fixed retention period is claimed here.
4. Your choices and rights
POPIA rights include requesting access or correction, asking for deletion where the law permits, and objecting to relevant processing. Consent can be withdrawn where processing relies on it, without making earlier lawful processing unlawful. Identification may need to be verified proportionately.
Contact our team on 072 861 5159 to raise a privacy request and arrange the appropriate written channel. Do not share identity documents, card details or unrelated sensitive information in a project summary. A marketing opt-in is not required to ask for a quotation; these forms do not add you to a marketing list.
You can also complain to the Information Regulator through its official complaints service. Statutory complaint and access procedures remain available.
