Installation & Site Assessment Terms

Clear scope, professional assessment and agreed variations help protect your property and your flooring project.

Read with your accepted quotation and the applicable South African consumer protections. Statutory rights take precedence over conflicting terms.

1. Site-visit policy

Site-visit fees are based on your location and confirmed before booking. Proceed with February Flooring for the assessed project, and the full paid visit fee will be credited against your quotation.

A request is an enquiry, not a confirmed booking. The fee and arrangements are agreed manually before booking. The credit is connected to the assessed project; no extra expiry date, distance formula or minimum project value is introduced here. Statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.

2. Measurements and product suitability

Customer estimates are unverified information. A final installation quotation follows assessment of the installation area and site requirements. Material order quantity is confirmed separately using the actual product, layout, pack coverage and justified allowances.

Tell us the intended use, existing floor, water exposure, underfloor heating and other relevant conditions. Compatibility must be checked against the confirmed product’s technical instructions. An inspiration image is not a technical specification or a promise of a particular finished result.

3. Agree the work in writing

The quotation should identify the product and finish, installation pattern, preparation, underlay or adhesive, trims and transitions, labour, delivery and other included work. Removal and disposal, furniture movement, door alterations, stairs and repairs are included only when recorded in the agreed scope.

Tell us about access restrictions, permissions, known hidden services and hazardous materials before work. Do not disturb suspected hazardous material to prepare for the visit. Specialist work or testing must be separately scoped where required; no asbestos-removal or structural-repair service is promised by this website.

4. Subfloor conditions and variations

Moisture, unevenness, substrate movement, existing coatings, damage and incompatible heating can affect installation. Assessment findings and necessary preparation should be documented. We do not guarantee that a visual inspection reveals every hidden condition.

A newly discovered issue is discussed with you, including proposed remedial work, price and timing. Additional work requires an agreed written variation. Unsafe or technically unsuitable work may pause while a safe, lawful solution is agreed. The assessment process does not excuse negligent inspection or defective workmanship.

5. Access, completion and aftercare

Agree who prepares the space, moves belongings, provides access and arranges any necessary permissions. Keep people and pets clear of the active work area. Scheduling, access and preparation responsibilities must be reasonable and recorded for the project.

At handover, record outstanding items and receive available product-specific care instructions. Follow applicable manufacturer guidance for cleaning, loads, moisture and environmental conditions. No universal workmanship-guarantee period is invented here.

Raise workmanship or product concerns promptly so they can be assessed. Acceptance or sign-off is not an automatic waiver of hidden defects, product liability or statutory service remedies. Refer to Warranty & Care and Returns & Refunds for the applicable routes.
